2011 Honda CBR250R Review

It may not be the biggest, but it's certainly one of the most interesting. With its sumptuous profile, affordable price tag and especially its dynamic performance worthy of a larger displacement machine, the CBR250R has been turning heads and creating quite a stir since its debut. I got the chance to test it out last June. The verdict? I immediately rushed out to buy one of my own. [more]

2011 Honda CRF230L Review

Honda hasn't changed the CRF for years. The CRF230L was launched back in 2008, and they did introduce a variant called the CRF230M two years ago, easily distinguished by the size of the wheels; the 230L comes with a 21" front wheel and an 18" rear, while both wheels on the M were 17 inchers. Big Red's powerhouse is back, decked out in new, more aerodynamic bodywork using the multilayer technology first spotted on the VFR 1200. The 2012 CBR1000RR doesn't revolutionize the genre, however, settling instead on improving overall performance with upgraded main components. [more]

2011 Honda CBR250R Review

There are many good reasons for buying a motorcycle. The most obvious one is the thrill of riding a machine that's totally in your control, that you operate with virtually every part of the body. The open-air feeling you get on a motorbike is completely different from sitting in a car with the windows down--hell, even in a convertible. And let's not forget about fuel economy. [more]

2010 Honda VT1300CT Interstate Review

Heir to the VTX1300T, the new 2010 Honda VT1300CT Interstate didn't get all the attention it deserved being simultaneously introduced with the more flamboyant VT1300CX Fury. While it fails to deliver the same visual punch, the low-slung Interstate still displays a certain elegance. And it's not merely a less expensive variant of the late VTX1800T. The VT1300CT boasts a unique personality thanks in large part to an exceptionally-responsive and lively V-twin. [more]

Every major manufacturer is chasing after new riders these years, with successful entry-level bikes, such as Honda's CBR125R or the Kawasaki 250R Ninja. The natural follow-on to these models, the "second" bike, is equally important for the manufacturer, and Honda has chosen the new-to-Canada CBF600SA as a second bike for new riders, one that could also turn into a more permanent machine over time, if it turns out that the machines fulfills all the rider's nees. C-ABS, Honda's electronic braking system

On a modern motorcycle, the connection between a lever and its effect is increasingly made by embedded electronics, whether we're talking about throttle, intake or continuously variable transmissions, like an airplane's autopilot and autolanding systems or a car's electric power steering.
