During a press conference last week, Honda CEO Takanobu Ito announced that a brand new superbike is in development in Japan.
Inspired from the magnificent RC30 (VFR750R) of the late '80s, engineers have started working on a new superbike model that will use MotoGP technologies and likely become Honda's flagship.
Still considered as one of the most significant motorcycles of all time, and a coveted machine among collectors, the RC30 (1987-1990) featured a 748cc, 16-valve V4 engine that produced a modest 112 horsepower (or less depending on the market). However, its wide powerband made for superb performance.
A release date has yet to be specified.
