KTM: Michael Willard is 2007 MX2 East National Champion!

8-16-2007

by Flagworld

Up at the front of the pack Tim Tremblay quietly and consistently raced with the leaders and crossed the finish line in 4th place which cemented his 2nd place overall for the Championship series. This was a great achievement for both riders and giving KTM Canada their second championship in 3 years in the MX 2 Class on the KTM 250 SX-F.

After the Championship celebration was completed the final race of round 8 of the MX 1 Series got underway. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to one of the best races in recent memory and the Royal Distributing Stoneridge KTM Canada riders were right in the middle of it. Once again Amsoil KTM's Marco Dube kept his momentum up through the rough sandy terrain and took home 6th position after the 40 minute moto.

This gave Marco some well deserved points in the run for the championship and 7th overall for the day. Royal Distributing Stoneridge KTM Canada's Matt Barnes was able to keep the pace after having a bobble in a corner and finished the moto in 16th place.

Orange Motorsports Mason Phillips and Royal Distributing Stoneridge KTM Canada's Iain Hayden both had their heads down and charged until the checkers flew earning themselves 13 and 20 spots. Currently Marco Dube sits in 4th position and teammate and fellow KTM Canada rider is in 7th position.

The final round of the MX 1 Series takes place next weekend at the Walton National track, Ontario. Team Royal Distributing Stoneridge KTM Canada riders are looking forward to the final round as well as the MX 2 East West shootout.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support this season.
