Motorcycles are safer than ever!A recent study showed that motorcycle crashes involving another vehicle are mostly frontal collisions. That's precisely why Honda designed an energy absorption system (similar to a car's) that uses an electronic management module and a series of sensors. The airbag is also pretty much the same as a car's. Located inside a special compartment above the fuel tank, it automatically inflates following a severe impact thanks to a pressurized gas-filled bottle.
Riders can now install a navigation system on their motorcycle, just like you would on any other type of vehicle. These systems usually include a USB port to download all the maps you wish to have for your road trip. Most of them feature a small color screen that is not even affected by sunrays. Since many riders wear gloves, these systems offer big, ergonomic controls to ensure a safe and user-friendly operation. They are directly hooked to the 12-volt unit and a lithium battery supplies additional power.
The vehicle of tomorrowThe motorcycle is also an economic and clean transportation mean that fits well in a greener future. It helps unclog the road network and parking spaces, especially in urban areas. In order to meet the new emission standards, modern bikes are all equipped with a special exhaust system that includes a Euro-3 compliant catalyzer with particle filter. They also rely on electronic fuel injection and ultra-sophisticated management systems designed to reduce toxic emissions. The majority of motorcycles offer high fuel economy. For example, the average bike in the 600-800cc range has a rating of about 5 L/100 km. Some smaller models, like the new Honda CBR 125R, only burn 3.2 liters of fuel per 100 km.

For those who question their passion for motorcycles or think about changing sports, perhaps due to the upcoming rise of registration fees, remember this: no other vehicle can and will ever replace your motorcycle. It's not only an economic and logical solution to our transportation problems but also a source of pure pleasure, a way to express oneself and a reason to live.
