Performance, safety and efficiency

Revving up a motorcycle is one of the most exciting feelings one can get. Regardless of the brand, model or style, the rider experiences intense moments as the RPMs increase. In fact, just by looking at a motorcycle and/or the engine, your heartbeat starts to accelerate and adrenaline flows in your veins. The urge is impossible to resist; you have to straddle the bike and get away from reality.

With your motorcycle, you can savor every single second that flies by. It spoils you and entertains you, sometimes bringing back fond memories of your flamboyant youth and making you forget about your heavy responsibilities at work or at home. A motorcycle provides freedom like no other road vehicle can, allowing you to escape the real world and become one with nature. In fact, there is nothing better than travelling on a motorcycle. With no pillars or roof to block your view, you can contemplate the landscape all around and the sky above you.

Incomparable power

As for power, nothing can replicate the feeling of riding a motorcycle. For instance, the Yamaha R1 and Suzuki GSX-R1000 boast an incredible ratio of 1 kg/hp. By contrast, Ferrari's 490-hp F430 has a ratio of 3 kg/hp, which means that it's three times less explosive and agile as a 1,000-cc high-performance two-wheeler.

Stability equals safety!
Some motorcycles feature multiple electronic systems to enhance safety and the overall performance. It is now possible to buy an ABS-equipped bike for less than $10,000. Several models use an electronic throttle system to sharpen throttle response and also serve as a traction control device.

In the case of the GSX-R1000, Suzuki engineers introduced a fantastic new feature. It's a switch mounted near the throttle that allows the rider to select one of three different engine management programs (Dry, Wet, Mix). This innovation boosts performance levels while reducing the risk of falling since engine power is easier to modulate.
