XAVI MEETS HIS NEW BIKE

After riding his 2005 GSX-R600 bike yesterday, today was the first time that Xavi was able to get onboard the 2006 version. The bike that arrived this morning was completely standard and had to have some of the cosmetic parts (lights, indicators etc.) removed and taped up before Xavi could get out on the track. Despite the relatively short time on the bike, Xavi left Valencia with a smile on his face and is looking forward to his next outing on it, when it will be in ready-to-race trim.

Today was a good day and I am happy. The Suzuki I rode today was completely standard - no special parts at all - but it was good to have some track time on it and start understanding the differences between it and last year's bike.

Although the bike I rode today was completely standard, I have a positive feeling it can improve quite a bit. Now I am looking forward to riding it again and going faster. I am pleased with the feeling of the chassis and generally I feel optimistic about the season ahead.
