The almost surprising success of the show held on February 5 through 7 leads us to expect a great 2009 season, as much for the spectators, whose excitement was palpable, as for the industry's professionals, for whom the crowd's reaction is a sign of a profitable 2009 season.


The show's organizer, Roger Saint-Laurent, also admitted to being a little surprised by such a positive outcome during the economic downturn. "We managed to attract 18,441 visitors, the same number as last year. Everyone seemed quite happy to see their favourite toys again and to plan the next season. The manufacturers were equally optimistic, while the big equipment manufacturers sensed that the fans were considerably more interested in updating their machines, even if it means holding on to them an extra year and spending the money on more sophisticated parts and accessories."

After the success of the Toronto Motorcycle Show in December, the various shows in Western Canada and most recently the one in Quebec City, the positive forecast remains to be confirmed at the Montreal Motorcycle Show, which will be held from February 20 to 22 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
