Ending months of speculation and rumours, not to mention countless teasers, Lamborghini finally took the wraps off the all-new Aventador LP 700-4 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Heir to the iconic Murciélago, the car is named after a Spanish bull that earned the “Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera” for its courage during a fight.

Built on a carbon fibre unibody chassis, the Aventador LP 700-4 houses a mighty V12 engine that produces 700 PS (690 bhp) and 509 lb-ft of torque through a 7-speed ISR transmission, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h. As previously announced, handling is enhanced by an F1-inspired push-rod suspension and all-wheel drive.
Compared with the Murciélago, the new model is 7.99-mm longer (4,580 mm), 8.93-mm wider (2,045 mm) and basically the same height (1,135 mm).
The cockpit features high-end materials and a modern aircraft-style dashboard. The instrument panel consists in a TFT-LCD display while a second screen is used for multimedia and navigational information.
The car is available in 13 different body colours and offers several two-tone interior treatments with ''Sportivo'' and ''Elegante'' trim levels. Options include a premium sound system and a rearview camera.
Deliveries of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 will begin in late summer. Pricing is set at $379,000 USD.
