2012 Yamaha Waverunner First Impressions

New features on the redesigned FX series include:
  • New hull and deck design equally suitable for cruising as sporty riding, and offering great versatility;
  • Three-passenger seat with improved safety for the second and third passengers;
  • Longer steering column offering a more relaxed, cruiser-style riding position; four-step adjustable tilt means it can also be set higher and more upright for active riding;
  • Drive-by-wire throttle offering easier riding and superior responsiveness;
  • New neutral position allowing the operator to stop the machine without having to cut power;
  • More ergonomically-positioned pump controls, reverse, cruise control and handlebars;
  • Redesigned instrument panel and mirrors enhancing looks, ergonomics and visibility;
  • Added storage for a total of 125 litres;
  • New stern compartment to store the tow rope;
  • All-new, larger swim platform with a redesigned reboarding step, angled deeper in the water for easier reboarding;
  • New, retractable cleats;
  • Easier-to-use ''No Wake'' mode.

Waverunner wrap-up

The all-new FX series from Yamaha picks up where its predecessor left off by offering the same proven quality and excellent value. What's more, it provides water sports enthusiasts with a new alternative that combines stability, handling and comfort like no other competitor has done before.

With all these great features and benefits, the FX models raise the bar pretty high and will undoubtedly contend for the title of best personal watercraft lineup of 2012.
