On and off paper
Theoretically speaking, the Lamborghini has a weight-to-power ratio of 2.3 kg/hp, a launch control system, four large patches of rubber, traction control and the latest occupant safety features on the market.

The ZX-10 has a weight-to-power ratio of 1 kg/hp, no launch control system, two small contact areas between the tires and the asphalt, traction control and, of course, zero occupant safety features.

On a cloudy day on a tight layout like the one at the Autodrome St-Eustache, the ZX-10R naturally had no chance of distinguishing itself in terms of handling. On the flip side, it ate the Aventador alive on corner exit, even if the rider has to open up the throttle much later. And, to our immense surprise, the ZX-10R held its own quite well on the braking front, despite less than 3 square centimetres of contact area.

A few drag races demonstrated that the bike has a little advantage over the car on the acceleration front. Even with its precarious grip and a very long first gear that forces you to slip the clutch during a third of your flight, the ZX-10R was ahead by a nose a couple of times.

An easy choice for most
This comparo certainly isn't very scientific, but it did give us the chance to see the two powerhouses of the hour fighting head to head. The choice is yours: are you a four-wheel or a two-wheel man (or woman)? In this case, your wallet might be the one to decide. Be sure to check out the video!
