Footrest height is now adjustable, the 43mm inverted front fork features compression and rebound adjustment, and the single rear shock feature high speed and low speed compression adjustability as well as adjustable rebound and preload. The new, classier fascia sports two headlights integrated into the air intakes. Thanks to a slew of styling innovations, the new Yamaha YZF-R1 is utterly irresistible and decidedly contemporary looking.

Designed for the track
Since its release in 1998, the R1 has been constantly evolving. Last year, it emerged as the most technologically advanced high-end bike. The latest version packs an even greater punch thanks to features directly derived from Rossi's racers. The new Yamaha R1 is truly one of the Japanese manufacturer's gems as it continues down its path to the Yamaha vision of two wheeled perfection.
