2009 Yamaha FZ6R First Impressions

7-4-2009

by Marc Cantin , moto123.com

With regard to performance, the engine pulls all the way to the redline (11,500 rpm). Granted, there's no real rush of power at 10,000 rpm like with the R6, but you still get a decent dose of explosiveness in everyday riding conditions. The power and torque generated by this inline four are equally suited for beginners and more experienced riders taking it to the track from time to time.

Ultimately, the 2009 Yamaha FZ6R offers easy riding, reasonable performance and a sporty look in a civilized, affordable package. Day in, day out, this bike has flair and character... and, I am sure, pleased owners.

We rode a French version of the FZ6R, which features shorter side fairings. the gallery includes a few pictures of the blue French-only model, while the majority of the pictures show a yellow full-faired Canadian model.

Great sportbike looks on an entry-level bike! Enough for more experienced riders to keep the bike for many years, and enjoy the fully adjustable ergonomics.
