The seating position of the Speed Triple gave me more fore and aft room than on the more compact Street Triple, a much appreciated aid to comfort for my voluminous 115kg mass. The extra room pushed me slightly away from the bars, which I also appreciated as the rearward move meant than I was not pressed too close to the bars, and the more elongated position places less load on my wrists in city riding. With no windscreen of any kind, you can expect ample ventilation at speed, as well as more water than you would ever wish for if it rains, so get a hold of an accessories catalogue if you need more protection, or grin and bear it like us real bikers (Used to) do.
The Triumph Speed Triple is a Street Warrior in the best sense of the word: great raw looks, with the performance to back it up, different and enjoyable noise and feel from the engine, and no real weaknesses of any sort, plus undeniable exclusivity – and at a reasonable price to boot.
