Sporty and comfortableIn terms of comfort, we can definitely talk about a grand touring sportbike. The suspension is well calibrated: firm enough to deliver a sporty ride yet smooth enough to offer GT-like comfort. The riding position is not too slanted; actually, it's quite comfortable on the highway. The handlebars are ergonomically positioned and the rider's legs are not too bent. Protection against the elements is perfect at knee level, but as far as the neck and head are concerned, it's a different story. | The suspension is firm enough to deliver a sporty ride yet smooth enough to offer GT-like comfort. |
While the Hayabusa is clearly not suited for beginners, seasoned riders will find it disconcertingly easy to maneuver, boosting their confidence instead of overwhelming them. That, in my opinion, is enough to justify the retail price of this bike. Riders looking for a stylish, ultra-competent sportbike with above-average stability and comfort are sure to like the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1300 Hayabusa, a two-wheel rocket combining the best of both worlds.
