Since almost the start of the present season, injuries have plagued some of the most prominent players in this year MotoGP championship and it won't be different this weekend in Brno in the Czech Republic.

Next in line is Repsol Honda's Nicky Hayden who will miss this weekend's Czech Republic MotoGP after injuring his foot at the X Games event in Los Angeles two weeks ago. Heyden injured himself when he landed heavily from a jump and has been advised to rest the foot until the San Marino Grand Prix on August 31.

Meanwhile, Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo is desperate to get back into shape after suffering three huge accidents this year and even tough he has mostly recovered from his injuries he has struggled to find the confidence to ride at limit following a string of broken bones in his legs, ankles, and feet.

Lorenzo says Brno is a circuit he favours and has gone well at in the past, so he hopes he will regain his momentum there.

Good news for John Hopkins who will be making his return at Brno after missing three rounds with a leg injury sustained at the Assen race more than two months ago. Although the Kawasaki rider feels that he is back in form he won't know it for certain until he gets back on track on Friday.

Last but not least, Dani Pedrosa is also expected to be back for the Czech race after skipping the Laguna Seca race due to the injuries he suffered after a bad fall during the German Grand Prix. Before his injuries, Pedrosa was fighting for the series title but after a devastating double of Grands Prix without adding to his points tally, it will be hard for the Spaniard to be a contender.
