Fernando Alonso doubts Valentino Rossi to become teammate

Fernando Alonso has revealed he would be happy to be Valentino Rossi's teammate at Ferrari. But despite rumours of trouble for his current teammate Felipe Massa, the Spaniard admitted it is not likely to happen.

"Valentino is a great champion, but I don't think such a thing is going to happen," Alonso said. Ferrari and Massa regularly dismiss the speculation about the Brazilian losing his seat at the end of the 2010 season. “Every year is the same and I'm still here," Massa said.

Karun Chandhok to Lotus for 2011

According to the latest rumour in the F1 paddock, Karun Chandhok may be in talks with Lotus about joining Tony Fernandes' team for 2011. It is believed the Indian driver could become reserve driver before moving into the race cockpit in 2012.

Chandhok said this week that he is hopeful his F1 career has not floundered permanently after just half a season. "There is a lot to discuss for next year with the HRT team, but also with other teams to see what other options are available for me, but I do feel good about my prospects," he is quoted by The National newspaper.

Nick Heidfeld is hoping Adrian Sutil will go
Veteran Heidfeld, returning from Mercedes and Pirelli test roles to complete the current season with Sauber and revealing in Korea this week that he does not carry any personal sponsorship, has emerged as a candidate to replace the disappointing Russian pay-driver Vitaly Petrov at Renault.

Team boss Eric Boullier, suggesting that a decision could be made by Abu Dhabi next month, told Auto Motor und Sport: "Both Heidfeld and Sutil have a chance." The good news for Heidfeld is that Sutil is also in the running for the Williams seat, and his departure to either Renault or Williams would free up the place at Force India.
