WPSA 'Super Team' Takes on Geneva

3-15-2007

by Flagworld

The Warnert squad is further bolstered by Semi-Pro hot shots Zach Pattyn, Jake Erickson, and Katejun Coonishish.

Pattyn (No. 99 Torco/Ski-Doo) has also had a somewhat difficult season. However, Geneva is just the place for the Ravenna, Mich. resident to shine.

"This is what it's all about," said Pattyn. "Points aren't an issue, so we're going all out for victories. Watch out, here I come!"

Erickson (No. 188 XP-S/Ski-Doo) has also suffered his own share of bad luck this season.

"We're out to show what we're really about this weekend," said Erickson. "We know we're better than the numbers show, and we're out to prove that here."

Coonishish (No. 101 Dootalk.com/Ski-Doo), as he did last season, has been a force on the Semi-Pro side of the Tour this season. With seven podiums and a victory, Coonishish is fourth in Pro Stock points, well within striking distance of the title.

"Consistency has been key for us this season, and the plan is to continue going in that direction this weekend," said Coonishish. "Ski-Doo and Warnert Racing continues to give me a great equipment, and that will definitely pay off this weekend. I'm ready to roll."

Also competing this weekend will be the team's Sport Rider Nathaniel Bossum (No. 789 XP-S/Ski-Doo). Bossum, who was introduced to Snocross racing by friend and fellow Ouje-Bougemou, Quebec native Coonishish, will definitely be in contention this weekend.

"This season has been a blast," said Bossum. "I'm just out here to gain experience and have fun. We're after podiums this weekend, and I think that goal is well within our grasp."
