WSPA POWERSPORTS SNOWMOBILE TOUR POINT STANDINGS UPDATED

Ryan Simons took the points lead in the Pro Open Riders' Championship and Ross Martin retained his lead in the Pro Stock standings, following last weekend's WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Polaris BIR Championship. The double national event, which featured two full Pro racing programs, was held at Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota.

Simons (No. 67 Speedwerx/Arctic Cat) recorded his first Pro Open podium of the season on Saturday at Brainerd. He currently has 164 points and leads Martin (No. 837 Judnick Motorsports/Polaris) by five markers. Levi LaVallee (No. 104 Pirtek/Polaris) sits third in the Pro Open standings, just seven points back.

Martin's lead in Pro Stock title chase fell to just four points, after Tucker Hibbert (No. 68 Monster Energy Drink/Arctic Cat) won both Pro Stock races during the Brainerd weekend. Hibbert now sits second, followed by Mike Schultz (No. 5 Avalanche Racing Team/Polaris), who is just 11 markers out of first.

Semi-Pro Open: Brett Bender (No. 19 Pirtek/Polaris)
Semi-Pro Stock: Dan Ebert (No. 602 Speedwerx/Arctic Cat)
Pro Women: Sarah McQuestion (No. 417 AIS Equipment/Ski-Doo)
Pro Veteran: John Anetsberger (No. 434 Burkhardt Racing/Ski-Doo)

Saturday's race from Brainerd will be telecast on SPEED on Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. EST, and will re-air on Feb. 7 at 3 a.m. Sunday's event will be telecast on Feb. 7 at noon EST, followed by the re-air Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.

The next race for the WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour is the Eastern National, scheduled for Feb. 17-18 at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y.
