WPSA: Gust and Parker win peach state thriller

6-4-2006

by Flagworld

"It feels great to get my first win in WPSA," added Gust. "I'm racing against a lot of fast guys; the best guys in the nation are out here. They're also younger than me, so it really felt good. WPSA is doing a great job and I think this is really going to grow. We're getting ready for Florida."

Parker literally dominated the Pro Stock QuadTerrain final, taking the lead at the start, earning the $500 ATVriders.com Rock'n'Roll Award for coming out the rock crawl first, and drove away from the field. Scott Kilby (No. 227 Moose, Maxxis/Can-Am) took second place for good when Chris Borich (No. 2 Alba Action/Honda) collided with a stalled quad near the mud bog. William Yokley (No. 23 Suzuki) earned his second straight podium, finishing third.

"This is my first time with this circuit, and I'm really happy with the way it went," said Parker. "Can-Am is the best team I've worked with so far. They are really professional. I cannot say enough about them.

"The Series is a lot of fun," added Parker. "We're definitely running the rest of the season."
