Schultz Returns, Ebert, Reimer and Abrahamson Clinch Titles

3-17-2007

by Flagworld

"I cannot put into words how special this is," said Abrahamson, who suffered a severely broken leg during a race three years ago. "I've been working on this for three years. It's been up and down, but this year, we put it all together.

"We're coming back next year on the National Tour to run in Semi-Pro Open," added Abrahamson. "I'm going to race a WISSOTA modified during the off-season to keep in shape."

With his fourth-straight victory Earl Reimer (No. 100 Blair Morgan Racing/Ski-Doo) won his second consecutive Pro Veteran title. John Anetsberger (No. 434 Burkhardt Racing/Ski-Doo) won the other round of Pro Veteran competition and led the points for much of the season.

"I thought the next guy to come up would be Blair Morgan, but then John (Anetsberger) caught me by surprise this year," said Reimer. "There's always going to be someone, so you never know. John pulled out a big lead, and I had to work hard to pull it back, so it was a tough season.

"I started working full time for a living, and you just get old fast doing that," added Reimer. "So I'll be racing as long as I can."

Other winners were:
Women's Stock: Samantha Tarnowski (No. 234 CMP Racing/Ski-Doo)
Junior 16-17: Brennan Berardo (No. 192 Land-Air Honda/Ski-Doo)
Junior 14-15: Cody Thomsen (No. 682 Dan and Joni Ebert/Arctic Cat)
Junior 10-13: Lincoln Lemieux (No. 113 Lemieux Sons Trucking/Ski-Doo)
Junior 8-10 (300cc): Nicholas Vaage (No. 961 Brewsters Sea and Ski/Ski-Doo)
