American Colin Edwards will start from pole position at MotoGP next round in China that will be held Sunday. In order to do so the Tech 3 Yamaha rider had to constantly battle with Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner who tried constant come backs on top of the chart.

Both Rossi on his Fiat Yamaha and Stoner on his Ducati had finally to settle for respectively second and third position on the starting grid.

Heading the second row of the grid is the remarkable Jorge Lorenzo, almost unable to walk when not on his bike, yet able to achieve impressive feats while on it, just over half a second slower than Edwards. Repsol Honda Dani Pedrosa completed the Top 5.
