AMA Superbike champion Ben Spies has been offered an early chance to ride in MotoGP at Donington Park this week-end with his substitute appearance for Rizla Suzuki, in place of the injured Loris Capirossi at the British Grand Prix.

Approaching the Donington weekend in a relaxed mood Spies is hoping the English experience will help him to be in good shape for his MotoGP rides on American soil in July and September.

Regarding his expectations this weekend, Spies declared "It´s definitely going to be difficult, but we will try to take things slow and try to represent for the team. It is an honour for me to ride for this team and also to be the person that fills in for Loris because he was a big hero of mine, so it should be fun."
