The Christian Brothers Racing Team brought its powerful Arctic Cat snowmobiles to bear during the 2006-2007 WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour season. Led by Pro racers DJ Ekre (No. 52 Christian Brothers Racing/Arctic Cat) and Kurtis Crapo (No. 9 Christian Brothers Racing/Arctic Cat), the team amassed a single victory and 11 podiums during the National Tour

Ekre fought injuries all season, including rib and tailbone injuries suffered at Eagle River.

"It was a tough season," said Ekre. "I spent most of the season recovering from injuries, and though that's a bit frustrating, the team's efforts were definitely strong. My goal in the off-season is to get healthy, and work hard in the gym. I'm looking forward to next year."

Snocross veteran Crapo suffered from his own bad luck this season. However, his experience has taught him to work through challenges and make the best of every situation.

"Every rider has a difficult season," said Crapo. "We were behind the eight ball this year, but we were certainly competitive. The team was simply awesome this year, and we're looking forward to improving going into next year."

Mathew Piche (No. 518 Christian Brothers Racing/Arctic Cat) recorded a strong run of podiums and a win in the Semi-Pro classes. With three runner-up finishes, Piche finished sixth in Semi-Pro Open points. With five podiums and a victory, Piche was third in Semi-Pro Stock points, just 16 markers out of the lead.

"The Semi-Pro classes are just so competitive, so to finish as well as we did is a testament to just how competitive this team really is," said Piche. "We were in the running week in and week out, and our consistency was unparalleled. What a great season!"

Karl Christian (No. 33 Christian Brothers Racing/Arctic Cat) finished the season on top, earning his second Pro Veteran podium of the season at the finale in Lake Geneva. Christian finished fourth in overall points.

"There is a ton of experience in the Pro Veteran class, so strong finishes are really hard to come by," said Christian. "So, to score two podiums, and finish as well as we did, shows just how competitive we were this year."

Logan Christian, the youngest of the Christian Brothers team, will celebrate his 15th birthday on Sunday. L. Christian (No. 443 Christian Brothers Racing/Arctic Cat), who earned a pair of podiums in the Junior Classes, finished the season with an exclamation point by earning a podium in the Sport Class of the Regional Affiliate Championship at Geneva. The Affiliate Championship invites the top three in each of the Tour's regions, including Minnesota State, where Christian is a regular.

"To finish with a podium at the National season finale is truly special to me," said L. Christian. "We had a ball this season, and I'm gaining experience every race. I can't wait until next year."
