by Pascal Bastien , moto123.com

Arctic Cat has updated its line-up of utility ATVs for 2009 by introducing an all-new engine destined for the most flourishing class in the industry: 550cc ATVs. The Thief River Falls manufacturer is also extending its product line with four new models for 2009, as well as coming out with a pleasant surprise for Side X Side enthusiasts.

The new 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro, developed specifically for, you guessed it, mud!

Made in the U.S.A.
With its new engine plant in St. Cloud, Minnesota, this American manufacturer now has the resources needed to develop and manufacture a complete range of engines fully adapted to the needs of the market. After the 2007 launch of the 650 H1, the very first powerplant entirely developed Arctic Cat, they are now upping the ante for 2009 with the introduction of the 1000 H2, the largest displacement production ATV engine ever built.

700 H1 EFI Mud Pro
The new 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro, developed specifically for riding in the mud, is a most impressive machine as well as a first in the industry. It features new 12-inch machined aluminium wheels, designed for Outlaw MST tires developed specifically for deep-mud competition. The Mud Pro uses a high air intake to bring clean air to the engine under all conditions, and the electronic fuel injection system has been calibrated to maximize power with this new intake snorkel. The fully independent suspension offers 35.6 cm of ground clearance and 25.4 cm of travel. Thus equipped, the 700 H1 Mud Pro will undoubtedly prove effective as well as popular on the muddy trails.

A Two-Seater For Every Size
Arctic Cat is also launching three new models equipped with in-line seats, starting with the TRV 1000 H2, the most powerful two-seater in the industry.

The TRV 550 H1, powered by the latest Arctic Cat engine, is an all-new entry in the very popular mid-size ATV class. It features the well-known three-in-one system comprised of a passenger seat with safety grips, a tough cargo box, and a Speedrack luggage rack with a 90-kilo capacity.

And last but not least, the TRV 700 H1, is powered by the new one-cylinder 700 H1, an evolution of the very first engine designed by Arctic Cat, the 650 H1. The TRV 700 H1 and the 1000 H2 both come with a color-matched windshield and hard lockable case, an industry first.

The DVX Sport is equipped with a preload-adjustable, long-travel suspension, removable fenders, and an automatic transmission.
