2008 Yamaha XT250 Preview

5-12-2008

by moto123.com

Thanks to a new semi-double cradle steel frame, the XT250 weighs in at only 123 kilos. Compared to the previous frame, the new one has been reinforced to ensure enhanced stability and control. The 9.8L fuel tank sports an ultra-stylish design, giving the bike a high-end look that won't go unnoticed during rides in town.

Upgraded equipment
In terms of ergonomics, Yamaha added a new digital instrument panel that's lighter and easier to read than last year. The front plastic fender is oddly styled, though engineers point out that it offers extraordinary protection against mud.

There's also a very powerful, retro-style, halogen headlight, not to mention frame-mounted passenger footpegs and hand rails for two-up riding capability.

Yamaha finally offers dual-purpose motorcycles that live up to its expertise. The new 2008 XT250 will appeal to those after a versatile, efficient, easy-to-ride bike that's actually competent off the beaten paths.
