2008 Yamaha Raptor 250 Preview

7-1-2007

by moto123.com

As for the suspension, this Yamaha gets a double wishbone front suspension with preload-adjustable springs. Meanwhile, the rear suspension is comprised of a single, nitrogen-filled shock absorber that offers 200 mm (7.9 in) of travel.

The riding position has been designed to satisfy the most demanding and aggressive riders. The lightness of the vehicle, the narrow seat and the well-positioned footrests are only a few examples of the new Raptor's sporty characteristics.

Very powerful brakes
Braking power is provided by three discs and the same callipers as the Raptor 700 -- front and rear. Powerful even for a heavier, more potent ATV, this setup will no doubt do the trick with a smaller, lighter machine. Chain maintenance will be easier thanks to Yamaha's famous eccentric system -- exclusive to the Raptor family. What's more, there's a push-button electric starter just like with the Raptor 700.

The all-new 2008 Raptor 250 will soon grace Yamaha showrooms, sporting a Racing Blue and Gray look. Two additional models will be offered shortly afterwards: a Raptor 250 Special Edition with exclusive Yamaha graphics as well as an all-black model to be customized by the owner. The new Raptor has all the ingredients to succeed and become one of the best ATVs in its class. It will have no problem making people forget about the old Blaster 200.
