The largest ATV in the Kawasaki lineup is back with plenty of improvements and one giant surprise. Designed for hardcore adventurers, the Brute Force 750 is equipped with one of the most powerful engines in the entire industry and one that's been specifically tuned to drive an ATV, which explains why it works so well. For 2008, Kawasaki engineers added an electronic fuel injection system to this famously efficient powerplant.


At last, an injection system
Last year, the V-Twin of the Brute Force 750 received new all-aluminum cylinders with electrofusion-coated bores. This innovation made the cylinders lighter and more durable while ensuring excellent heat dispersion. The engine delivers plenty of low- and mid-range torque as well as peak power at ridiculously low revs. Offsetting the cylinders by 90° results in a lower center of gravity and perfect primary balance for low vibration levels and a smoother, steadier engine operation. In fact, it's so smooth that there's no need for a separate extra engine balancer, which saves weight and improves performance.

The new fuel injection system features 36-mm throttle bodies and a highly sophisticated 32-bit CPU, automatically calculating the ideal air-fuel mixture based on coolant temperature, air intake temperature and pressure, throttle position, vehicle speed and crankshaft angle. A reduced spring rate for the throttle return springs as well as ball bearings in the throttle bodies give a lighter feel at the throttle lever, which contributes to reduced rider fatigue.
