No. 5 - Kymco Super 8
The KYMCO Super 8 has some of the best brakes in its class by far, seemingly stopping on a dime. It's an affordable, yet solidly built, Taiwanese scooter that makes a great urban runabout. Handling and ride quality are both pretty good, in large part thanks to the 14” wheels (most competitors ride on 10” or 12” wheels). The front fairing is rather short, and acceleration off the line is modest, but stability at speed can't be denied. Once again, adding a top case proves necessary. Available in three colours, the Super 8 comes with a 2-year warranty.
