To highlight the recent collaboration between Mercedes-AMG and Italian motorcycle builder Ducati, Mercedes-Benz introduced a unique version of their new 2013 SLK 55 AMG roadster alongside a Ducati Streetfighter 848.

Both machines are painted in what is called “Streetfighter yellow”, a stunning hue that could eventually be offered as an option if demand is high enough. The 416-hp SLK 55 AMG also features a cockpit riddled with yellow contrast stitching on the seats, the door panels, the dashtop, the steering wheel, and the shift lever. The car also gets yellow illuminated AMG door sill plates.

The 130-hp Streetfighter 848 features a liquid-cooled, 849cc twin-cylinder engine along with a dynamic traction control system.

The collaboration between Mercedes-AMG and Ducati includes various marketing activities and joint-venture appearances at shows and events. At the last Frankfurt auto show, a CLS 63 AMG and a Diavel AMG Special Edition shared the stage.
