The Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide that was presented to Pope Francis in June 2013 as part of the Milwaukee brand's 110th anniversary celebration was finally sold by Bonhams for €245,000 (approx. $365,000) to a European buyer.

The initial estimation for the bike was set in the $18,000-$23,000 range.

The fuel tank was signed by his Holiness during a special ceremony at the Vatican in November.

Funds raised by the sale will go towards the renovation of the Caritas Roma charity's Don Luigi di Liegro hostel and soup kitchen based at Rome's Termini railway station.
