BMW in the 2010 World Superbike Championship - Saturday morning qualifying (video)

11-5-2010

by Marc Cantin , moto123.com

Moto123.com visited the BMW Motorrad Factory team at the Magny-Cours (France) track, this past October.

Qualifying for a Superbike race begins with a 75 min. session on Saturday morning, when every racer tries to lap in the top group of 15 riders. These riders then go on to final Super Pole qualifying that afternoon to determine the starting order for the two Sunday races.

Riders and teams must fine tune their primary and their spare bikes, in case of problems with the primary machine, or to have a second bike set up for rain or colder conditions as the weekend goes on.

We watched lead rider Troy Corser and his technical people as they worked on both bike over the morning session.
