by moto123.com

Youthful motorsport fans can now take their first ride into the world of snowmobiling sitting atop a Yamaha. Today's launch of the Yamaha SRX 120 offers enthusiasts as young as 6 years of age the chance to independently enjoy the thrill of snowmobiling.

"Many of our dealers and loyal customers have encouraged us to offer a youth snowmobile over the years," commented Chris Reid, National Manager, Product Planning at Yamaha Motor Canada. "We're excited to introduce this new SRX 120. With great safety features and the reliability Yamaha engines are famous for, the SRX 120 will be a hit for those kids who want to enjoy winter just as much as their parents and older siblings."

Watch as Yamaha's Wade West gives you a complete video overview of the SRX 120.

Also launched for 2013 is the crossover Nytro XTX 1.75 with new dual runner Tuner skis and for better deep snow performance, a tall 1.75" lug Camoplast back country track. Many off-trail customers had performed these alterations on base model Nytro XTX snowmobiles in recent years but now Yamaha has supplied a snow-ready version right out of the crate, reducing customer expense and providing more options for the crossover market. Also new on the Nytro XTX 1.75 is an additional heat exchanger, revised weight saving gas shocks, single piece extrovert drivers, oil pressure sensing system, and independent dual grip / thumb warmer switches . If you prefer the route less travelled, then the FX Nytro XTX 1.75 is your sled. Click to see all the features and benefits.

Returning for 2013 are the complete series of Apex, Nytro, Vector, Venture, Phazer and multi-purpose Yamaha snowmobiles. Some have come back with new colours and graphics, while others, like the Venture MP and RS Viking, have seen more substantial changes like new tracks, revised suspensions and new skis.

Peter Swanton, National Manager of Motorsports from Yamaha comments, "We've got industry-leading four-stroke technology for nearly any type of riding style and we've launched an aggressive early deposit program for our 2013 models. If you're going to upgrade next year, visit your local dealer to do it between now and April 23th to guarantee availability. That way, you can start as soon as the snow hits in the fall."
