The chassis is steel rather than lighter aluminum, in the interest of robustness I suspect, as this Super Ténéré is built for work, a throwback to when Yamaha won the Paris-Dakar Rally regularly.

Yamaha Canada is evaluating the appropriateness of this model in our market. Like many other machines, what looks really appealing to some nutters like myself does not always turn into a runaway success in our market.

We’ll have to wait and see if this attractive machine ever makes it to your dealer’s floor.
