Yamaha Motor Canada will offer a “Factory Ride” sponsorship to a deserving amateur Yamaha rider at the upcoming 2011 Parts Canada TransCan, Wiseco Amateur National Championships, August 16-20. The sponsorship award is in conjunction with the existing “Yamabucks For You” campaign that hands out Yamabuck gift certificates to the top three Yamaha’s in each class.

The “Factory Ride” sponsorship will go to the Yamaha rider who scores the most points in their respective classes. For their efforts, the rider will win the following for the 2012 race season:
- The use of a 2012 YZ of the rider’s choice
- A $2500 parts credit that can be used on parts, accessories, gear, oils and lubricants
“Amateur racing is the lifeblood of Canadian motocross. Obviously we cannot support every Yamaha rider in Canada but we’ve developed a couple programs to help our amateur riders with racing. Most notably with ‘Yamabucks for You’ and now the ‘Factory Ride’ sponsorship,” comments PR Specialist Bryan Hudgin. “Not only will the winner get the YZ of their choice, but with great accessory and gear partners like AXO, One Industries, FMF, Matrix and our own Yamalube and GYTR brands, they’ll get the holeshot on the 2012 race season.”
The Yamaha “Factory Ride” winner will be announced on Saturday evening at the awards presentation. If you place well on your Yamaha during the TransCan, be sure to check the overall results. You could be riding for the factory in 2012!
