In 2008, Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson will celebrate its 105^th anniversary. This prestigious bike builder seems to keep innovating with each passing year. Long considered as a very conservative brand, Harley-Davidson has now become one of the most active companies in the industry. New models replace other new models, and new features are introduced at a frantic pace to improve styling and performance. Bikes like the V-Rod as well as numerous technical advancements on certain models illustrate this trend.

Without question, the introduction of the new Twin Cam 96 engine and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission has been the highlight of the 2007 model year. Based on its predecessor's architecture, the Twin Cam 96 uses 700 new parts, while the piston stroke is 10-mm longer. Torque has been increased by 8 percent (7 lb-ft) for a total of 93 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. This V-twin engine comes standard on all Touring, Softail and Dyna models.

Two new models?
For 2008, Harley-Davidson celebrates a significant milestone by launching exclusive cruiser models sporting a sublime and innovative design. The 2008 FXCWC Rocker and Rocker C are two all-new machines specially designed to mark the 105 years of the king of two-wheel motor thrills.

At first glance, these two H-D bikes impress with their length and peculiar styling. They are built on a modern frame featuring an all-new rear suspension called Rockertail, which includes a mudguard mounted directly on the swingarm. The solo seat, nicknamed Trick, hides a pestle allowing the owner to install an additional seat for a future passenger. This solo seat is actually the lowest ever for a factory Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Meanwhile, one of the most original features is undoubtedly the Rockers' internally wired, independent handlebars, which completely hide the throttle, brake and power wiring.
