In an unabashed effort to generate clicks on our part, here is a very odd “Masterpiece” put together by California artist and biker Mark Dugally. He called it “Project Somma 2010”.
Inspired by a visit to Mount Vesuvius, the friendly neighbourhood volcano for Naples (Italy, not Florida!), our fearless artisan picked on an innocent Aprilia RSV Mille and cut loose. Check out the old-style front caliper mount, the odd under-engine exhaust system with three pipes, and single-sided swing arm.
Judge for yourself or go to wire.com for a little more bumph on the man and his bikes.

There is no reckoning for taste, but My God! I cannot resist calling it “Dugally’s Duckling”.
He wants 25 G-notes for it. Any takers?
