An updated version of the 2006 World Superbike and Supersport calendar has today been released, which reveals that the series will conclude in South Africa.

The new thirteenth round will take place at a 'to be announced' circuit on October 22. WSBK last traveled to South Africa in 2002, when it raced at Kyalami (top pic), while MotoGP was a regular at Welkom's Phakisa Freeway until 2005.

Other more minor changes are that the Valencia round will now take place on April 23 (instead of 30), while Monza will take place on May 7 (instead of 14). The rounds in Brands Hatch and Imola are also now officially confirmed.

A Superstock 1000 FIM Cup round will take place at each round in Europe.
