It has been revealed that the injury to the wrist Jonathan Rea suffered during the last week-end of WSBK Championship at Misano, is more serious than first expected.
The Castrol Honda ace was injured following a high–speed accident during warm-up and sustained arm and collarbone injuries; immediately ruling him out of this weekend's Motorland Aragon races.
However, Rea suggested that his recovery may take longer than he had initially hoped, because, following his surgery, a lot more damage than expected was discovered on his wrist; implying he will need much more time to recover.
Following Motorland Aragon, the next WSBK round takes place at Brno July 10th, with a further three weeks between that and his home Silverstone event on July 31st.
