Yamaha BWs Both the 50 and 125 models stand out from every other scooter with their much wider set of tires. Instinctively, a wider tire is associated with superior stability and cornering performance, not to mention a smoother ride. | 2009 Yamaha BWs 125 |
A quick spin around the city or on twisty byroads is enough to convince anyone. At 110 kilos, the BWs 50 fails to impress. On the other hand, the 125-cc variant keeps pace with the traffic with no risk of being rear-ended. The added stability and grip provided by the fat tires make this Yamaha a smart, affordable pick for both urban and suburban use (light touring). I'm planning to ride a lot more of these performance scooters throughout the summer, including the new Kymcos. Stay tuned for a detailed account! Photo Credit : Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Piaggio
