Time to take your bike out of the garage!

5-4-2012

by Pascal Bastien , moto123.com

A tidy chassis for extra peace of mind
Before you take off for the first time, inspect the chassis including the brakes, cables, throttle, lights, tires, and suspension. Don't forget about the drive chain (wear, adjustment and lubrication) or drive belt (wear and tension).

Ride gently during the first 50 kilometres and pay attention to the riding dynamics. Also, remember to keep your focus on the road: After months of inactivity, you and the other riders may be a little rusty, too.

Don't hesitate to call a technician at your local dealership if you encounter any problem whatsoever. Unlike your lawyer, he or she won't charge you for simple advice. Stay alert and have fun riding this summer!
