Ryno Motors will begin sales of its one-wheeled electric scooter in the second quarter of this year. It's already available for pre-order through the company's website starting at US$5,295.

Loosely inspired by the popular Segway, this so-called “microcycle” provides a range of 16 km and reaches a top speed of 16 km/h -- the legal limit in the U.S. for a motorized transportation device. Weighing 160 lbs, it has a 260-lb carrying capacity.
