BMW factory rider Andreas Lettenbichler won at his first try in the four-day, 800km Red Bull Romaniacs event, deep in Count Dracula-land. “Letti” covered the harsh course set in the Transylvanian Mountains in 20h 29m, which put him 41m ahead of second place man Chris Birch (KTM), and 79m ahead of third place finisher (And two-time Paris-Dakar winner) Cyril Despres (KTM).

In case it slipped your mind, Letti finished third at that other crazy Extreme Enduro event, the ErzbergRodeo, held in an open pit mine, in Austria this past June.

Albertan Shane Cuthbertson, the lone Canadian in the official results, finished 9th on a factory Husaberg.
