BMW Motorrad Canada is recalling 161 S1000RR motorcycles from the 2012-2013 model years because the side stand may have been installed incorrectly at the assembly plant. This could cause the bike to fall over while resting on its stand, potentially leading to damage and/or personal injury.

Dealers will therefore remove the side stand mounting plate, clean the components, and reinstall using new fasteners.
