The newly named “Circuit of Americas” in Austin, Texas has announced that it had secured a 10-year deal to host a MotoGP race in the United States starting in 2013.

The American circuit, who will also host a Formula One Grand Prix starting in 2012 and is currently under construction, will present the three categories of the MotoGP championship: 125cc, Moto2 and MotoGP.

Organizers said construction of circuit is progressing well and is scheduled for completion sometime in mid 2012.

The United States currently hosts two MotoGP events in Indianapolis and Laguna Seca.
