After sitting out the last Catalunya Grand Prix, Honda’s Dani Pedrosa will again be sidelined for the upcoming British Grand Prix as he is still trying to recuperate over his shoulder injury.

Although it was decided to use a smaller metal plate and screws to fix his fractured collarbone, this technique also means that it takes a longer time to heal.

"I've done everything I could to be fit in time for Silverstone, but the conditions are not right to return to compete with guarantees", said Pedrosa.
Pedrosa said he did not want to come back until he was fit enough to be properly competitive.

The Spaniard sustained the injury when he collided with Marco Simoncelli as they battled for second at Le Mans in May.

The Honda team has already made clear that it would not be replacing Dani Pedrosa in this weekend's British Grand Prix.
