As expected, Jorge Lorenzo won’t be on the starting grid for the upcoming MotoGP season’s finale to be raced at the Valencia circuit.

The Yamaha rider was injured some weeks ago at the Phillip Island circuit, and was subsequently forced to miss both the Australian Grand Prix and the following one in Malaysia.

Lorenzo had suffered injuries to one finger in the left hand and had to undergo plastic surgery to repair the damage, but still has to recuperate before being able to get back on a bike.

Test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga, who replaced Lorenzo in Malaysia, will stand in for the 2010 world champion again.
