The trophy for the ‘’Best Organized Superbike Event’’ of 2009 was awarded to Circuit Magny-Cours yesterday.

Among the various hosts of the 2009 Superbike World Championship (SBK), the jury felt that the French group was the best in all aspects of organization, including the race itself, promotional activities and logistics.

According to Paolo Flammini, President of Infront Motor Sport, "This outstanding result is an honor for Magny-Cours, which is historically considered as one of the best racing venues on the planet. The award recognizes the hard work by a dedicated team of professionals who always believed in the SBK and fully committed themselves to making it a success."

Magny-Cours has been hosting a round of the Superbike World Championship since 2003. This year, the Nevers-based circuit attracted more than 81,000 spectators (78,000 in 2008).

The 2009 SBK season included 14 rounds and took place on prestigious race tracks all over the world.

Next year, Magny-Cours will be the only French event on the SBK calendar, more precisely on October 1-3, 2010.
