Honda brings CBF600 to Canada for 2010

9-23-2009

by moto123.com

The CBF600 has been around in Europe for a while, where it provides a logical step up, albeit a large one, from the CBR125R entry level model, as well as an exciting choice for those in search of a machine less high-strung than a sport bike.

This civilized but nonetheless exciting bike features a top fairing, cast alloy frame and a more user-friendly version of the fuel-injected CBR600RR motor, tuned for "the most comfortable balance of performance and acceleration" as per Honda flak, which means more torque low down for relaxed riding around town. European numbers for the bike are interesting, with 77 hp and 43 lb-ft of torque at 8,250 rpm.

The sport bike roots of the CBF600 show up in the preload-adjustable fork and rear shock, 17-in rims and 160 rear tire, ABS, and a reasonable 222kg weight ready to ride.

User friendliness is enhanced by the height-adjustable seat (770 to 800mm), a two-way adjustable windscreen, and a 20-litre fuel tank.
Pricing has not yet been announced.
