Engineering students compete at BRP

Bombarbier Recreational Products is welcoming over 50 engineering students from seven universities in Quebec and Ontario who participated in the BAJA SAE competition. Specialized in mechanical, industrial or electronic engineering, these students and their teams will try to impress a jury consisting of BRP development experts by presenting their own ATV.

There won't be any races this time, however. The manufacturer wants to see the main features of each machine and challenge the contestants by making them solve a technical problem on a BRP vehicle.

''It's very exciting for us to watch these enthusiastic young engineers at work. Most of them will become the bright minds of tomorrow, so we're very happy to show them our facilities and the kind of captivating projects and experiences that await them in a few years,'' said Vincent Morin, Vice President of Can-Am Product Development.

The three teams with the highest scores will receive up to $4,000 worth of genuine BRP parts, while the team that comes up with the best solution to the technical problem will get a special prize.
