The first tangible result of the collaboration announced last autumn between Ducati and Mercedes-Benz’s performance division, AMG, has just been made public in all its sublime glory.

It is in fact an upgraded version of the roadster-cum-dragster Diavel aimed at “passionate connoisseurs of technology, engineering detail and exclusive style”.

The diabolically potent machine features carbon fibre lateral radiator grills with aluminum trim and a slew of details highlighting AMG’s involvement, such as five-spoke wheels, a sport exhaust system and a horizontally ribbed seat.

The first Diavel AMGs will be delivered in 2012, with more details to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
